Lighting design project for an art gallery in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2010)
PROPOSAL
To devise a lighting design concept and project for an art gallery. The architectural design proposed uses simple finishing, as so not to compete with the artworks.
An indirect lighting effect with T5 fluorescent tubes was executed, in order to accomplish a good level of luminance as well as the general lighting in the gallery. Also a track lighting was proposed concealed in a
cove in the plaster ceiling. The individual light fixtures can be positioned anywhere along the tracks, providing many different possibilities of lighting the artworks.
