Helios project is a joint venture between Jeroen de Vries Architects, Global Architects, VEDD Architects and VDM Woningen, and is situated in the centre of the new Homeruskwartier in Almere, the Netherlands
The initiative is based on the principle of Collective Private Commisioning, which means will be engineerd and built without the interference of a developer. Instead it will be commissioned directly by it’s future inhabitants, allowing for a unparalelled freedom in housing type, size, layout and even facades.
The appartment building will be extremely sustainable, due to its innovative wooden highrise structure, and very high thermal insulation. The applied techniques guarantee very low exploitation costs and a healthy living environment.
